Who We Are
My name is Ruth and I love my job! Since I was a child, I have loved animals! If you ask my mom, she would be happy to share that, more often than she liked, I was bringing home kittens and stopping for lost dogs. Over the years we had dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, fish and a praying mantis (but not all at the same time).
I worked as a social worker for 7 years. While rewarding, I did not enjoy being cooped up inside all day. For some time I would go to work every day but think about doing something totally different....dog walking!
My husband, Keith, had an outdoor job. For 17 years, Keith was landscaping - caring for people's gardens and making their homes look beautiful outside. While he enjoyed the physical work, he was ready for a change too.
In 2016 I took the leap and left social work and have never looked back. I am so excited to get up each morning and head out to see the happy, furry faces of my dogs. I think I benefit just as much as the dogs from being out on the walks. We also started to board dogs and could not believe how much we loved it. At the end of 2017, Keith left the gardening world and started with me and the dogs full time. We couldn't be happier!
For a long time, our goal has been to start a business, work together and do something active and outdoors. We never could have imagined how happy we could be getting dirty with the dogs and falling in love with each furry face! It is so wonderful to realize our dream!

About Our Space
We moved outside Toronto in the Spring of 2018. We were looking for more space outdoors and a quieter environment for our furry houseguests and for ourselves. We are now located 45 minutes North of Toronto, close to HWy 400. Our home is located on an acre of land, a 1/3 of which is fenced in for the dogs. While we continue to travel into Toronto during the week to walk; on the weekends, we embrace our rural location.
